Workplace Wellness
The Blair County Chamber of Commerce created a Workplace Wellness Committee to encourage businesses to share information on how to develop or enhance their current workplace wellness programs. To help with this effort we’ve created this discussion area as a dedicated place for businesses to ask other business about their wellness programs. This page also serves as an outlet for business to post any successes they would like to share.
Accomplishments and Activities:
The Workplace Wellness Committee has hosted eight Wake Up to Wellness events.
For four years, we conducted the countywide Corporate Wellness Challenge that began in 2014 by the Tyrone Regional Health Network and the Northern Blair County Recreation Center. This year, the decision was made to not conduct the Corporate Wellness Challenge but to support and encourage companies to join our Active Living Steps Challenge.
The Committee developed the Workplace Wellness Toolkit and it was distributed to attendees at the September 2019 Wake up to Wellness event.
