Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale Training | Mental Health | The Columbia Protocol, also known as the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS), supports suicide risk assessment through a series of simple, plain-language questions that anyone can ask via paper or phone app. The answers help users identify whether someone is at risk for suicide, assess the severity and immediacy of that risk, and gauge the level of support that the person needs. Trauma 101 | Behavioral Health | This training is appropriate as an entry-level overview of trauma concepts for anyone who may be interested in the topic for personal or professional growth, awareness, and/or education. There are no prerequisites or minimum education requirements for participants. This course will provide: *An educational framework related to trauma principles, definitions, research findings, and potential impacts * Basic information related to brain development and the effects of trauma on an individual’s brain structure *Information on how each of us can do our “PART” to develop a trauma-sensitive and trauma-informed philosophy, and better address/prevent negative long-term impacts of trauma *Education surrounding evidence-based interventions and available resources for those who have been impacted by trauma or adverse life experiences *Reframe and hope for post-traumatic growth and resilience | 2 hours | 25-50 |
Trauma 102 | Behavioral Health | This training is appropriate as an entry-level overview of effective trauma-sensitive skills and practical tools for anyone who may be interested in expanding their awareness on the topics listed above. There is no minimum education requirement for participants of this course, but participants must have completed Trauma 101 as a prerequisite to this course. This training focuses on trauma-awareness and sensitivity by expanding on the concepts of: *Self-care planning for personal safety and emotional well-being *Regulation and the 3 R’s *Trauma-sensitive skills for practical use *Trauma-informed interventions that may assist individuals with regulation and management of emotions/reactions *Effective response tools that can promote positive and healthy interactions with others *Action Plans that allow participants to consider ways they can use/apply this information moving forward | 2 hours | 25-50 |
Trauma 103 | This training is appropriate as an entry-level overview of the topics listed above. There are no prerequisites or minimum education requirements for participants. The exposure to trauma, even when indirect, can be a stressful and emotional experience. Anyone who comes into frequent contact with trauma-impacted individuals incurs the risk of burnout and “Vicarious” or “Secondary” trauma. This could include mental health professionals, medical professionals, family members, caregivers, teachers, etc. To manage the potential impacts of vicarious trauma, this course provides further education and information surrounding: *Awareness/education about the concept of vicarious trauma *Identifying and distinguishing potential impacts of vicarious trauma *Recognizing signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue and burnout, encouraging self-assessment, improving self-awareness *Practical skills and self-care exercises that promote overall wellness for caregivers and/or “helpers” | 2 hours | 25-50 | |

Mental Health First Aid Training | Mental Health | Mental Health First Aid helps people assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis.
